Radio streaming app
01 PROJECT SCOPE
The project entails developing a user-friendly, generic streaming radio application that supports live streaming and archived recordings playback. The app will cater to a wide range of users, including those with limited smartphone proficiency. Additionally, the app will be compatible with various accessories like Bluetooth speakers, headphones, and car audio systems. The project currently includes an iOS version in Beta-testing with around a thousand users, with an Android version in development.
02 GOAL
The primary goal is to create a highly accessible, simple, and user-friendly streaming radio app that provides seamless live stream and archived recording support to a diverse user base. The app aims to integrate effortlessly with various accessory devices for an enhanced listening experience. Achieving feature completeness in the Android version will further expand the app's reach and accessibility.

03 TECHNOLOGY

Swift
iOS

NodeJS

Redis
The iOS version of the streaming radio app is developed using Apple's native SwiftUI platform, which allows for smooth and efficient performance on iOS devices. As for the Android version, which is currently in progress, it is being built using Google's Kotlin framework. This ensures a native experience for Android users, along with ease of development and maintenance. The back-end and caching server, which supports both app versions, is running on NodeJS combined with Redis for efficient data storage and retrieval. The entire infrastructure is deployed on a cloud-based platform, ensuring scalability and robustness for the application.
